Golden Phae Strengthening Hair Mask is very different from other products you find on store shelves today, both conventional and natural. Most of them contain chemicals and silicones. Many of these chemicals have been linked to detrimental effects to human health. Silicones are one of the reasons behind the “unexplained” hair loss so many of us experience. Essentially, silicones are plastics and when applied to hair and scalp in shampoos, conditioners and styling products, they cover our pores like a thin sheet of plastic. When this happens, the heat generated by our bodies is trapped and cannot escape. This process leads to our skin getting rid of hair to use the openings as a way to regulate temperature and cool down the scalp. To fight hair loss, we first have to switch to products (cleansing, conditioning and styling) that contain no silicones (any ingredient that ends with –cone or –xane).
DIRECTIONS: This Hair Mask is very versatile. It can be used as a traditional mask or as a continuous treatment to be worn in your hair. The product is designed to melt at the temperature of your skin. Use spatula provided. Use about a quarter size amount (less for very short hair) and distribute between your fingertips to melt the Kokum Butter moisturizing beads. Apply first to the scalp, then distribute lightly through hair. Use a comb to further distribute product through individual hair strands, if desired. Add more product if necessary, a little bit at a time.
You can wear the product in your hair for as little as 20 minutes or longer, or even leave overnight. The product remains tidy in your hair and does not leak. However, if you are leaving it overnight, be sure to use a hand towel to protect both your pillow and clothes.
